Hi, I’m Dave Phillips, Owner of Salt & Marsh Skiff Co. My passion for fly fishing and
craftsmanship led me to create a business dedicated to restoring and enhancing fly fishing
technical poling skiffs. My years of experience standing on the bow of these fine pieces of work have given me a unique perspective of the fly fishing community and industry. I understand the love, passion and conversations these boats drive within our community and it’s a privilege to work with you and your skiffs!

My long-term love of boats and the water have led me to live a life with water adventures at the center of those experiences. From serving in the United States Navy and honorably serving our country to the passion for fly fishing instilled in me from my uncle that eventually led me to salt water fly fishing where I could pursue my passion for boats and fly fishing in one sport and hobby.

My love for country, my family and my God has allowed me to pursue this adventure and I cannot thank them and my current and future customers enough! I believe in honest communication, attention to detail, and treating every project as if it were my own boat. Whether it’s a full restoration, a custom upgrade, or a performance enhancement, my goal is to help anglers get the most out of their time on the water.
